Here I am 5 months later….

Posted by carolom on May 28, 2011

Well I have settled in very nicely to my new home as you can see by the photos.

One of the humans likes to carry me around in what she calls a Junipurr-Pouch as you can see here.

You can’t really tell but I purrrrr a lot when I am in the Pouch, slung over her shoulder as she makes beds and does all that domestic stuff I will NEVER have to do.

I have a special spot where I go to get away by myself and do a bit of deskwork every now and then…

And since I learnt how to read I have been working my way through this little pile of books…

Anyway just so you know, life is pretty good at 5 months old and although I am not allowed out all the time on my own…I have learnt how to climb up on the top of the shed and refuse to come down until the kitty biscuit-box is brought out to me!

I’ll see if I can get my human to get a photo next time I get up there!

Bye for now…

Junipurr….

a.k.a Ju-ju Pois

In case you are wondering how I am settling in…

Posted by carolom on February 8, 2011

Things are going pretty good actually.

My Pet Human did complain a bit about keeping my pillow (her hand) still for three hours…but I am training her to obey me.

I keep getting fan mail with the word “cute”

E.g  You are cuteThat is cuteOMG..how cute is that etc etc

So I am brushing up on My Cute factor because if I decide to publish my memoirs later on, I think Cute may be a good selling point.

Check out my photos and let me know how you think my Cute Factor is going….

Here is a variation on the Cute Kitty stretched out showing fluffy tummy theme….

Anyway the last one below  is the Cute Shot that I will probably be using in my modeling portfolio if I decide to go down that track and in the meantime, here is:

Junipurrs Words of Wisdom for the Day:

*  Cute will only get you so far in life. If you don’t know how to hunt and gather, no amount of cute will get you fed.

Unless of course you have a Pet Human to do it for you.

I left my Mother yesterday….

Posted by carolom on January 29, 2011

I was born into a large family. I have five Brothers and Sisters. Some of us look like one another and a couple look like my Aunty Ninja who is Burmese.

We were luckier than many… we were born in a home filled with love and  children and our house was surrounded by trees and a really interesting garden. I’m going to miss those gorgeous little girls and their big brother and hope they read my blog!

You can see my family here… I am there in the middle but I’m not sure which one is me because we all sort of melded into a great big fur-ball when Mum brought us our tea:

We knew we were all going to be finding Pet Humans in different places so we made sure we had a lot of fun before the day to leave came.

Which was yesterday. I was 6 weeks and 5 days old.

When I was just 10 days old my Pet Human came to meet me for the first time.

This is what I looked like then.  I can’t believe how young we both looked!

You can see in this next photo that  I was a bit frightened to be held so high off the ground. Actually I was terrifed! I am much better now with heights and plan on climbing a tree (and coming back down easily) when I am allowed outside. No hurry!
I am a bit embarrassed by this photo, none of us like to be caught freaking out but I am going to be honest in this blog warts and all.

My first day out of home has been pretty huge.

I have slept a lot. Used the kitty litter tray 5 times. 2 were unnecessary but my Pet Human was so thrilled when I went the first time, (without being shown the ropes) that I decided to go back and scratch around in there again to make her make that cute in a weird way noise when she says “goooood kitty…gooood kitty”.

A bit of not-so-good-news
Unfortunately not everyone was pleased to welcome me home yesterday. There is a huge big Black Cat called Purrly who lives here and she took one look at me and hissed. She had really bad breath and I could see she was a bit threatened by me. Poor thing! Imagine being threatened by a tiny cute furry thing like me! Apparently she was homeless and pregnant when she came here and has a few emotional issues. My Pet Human is keeping an eye on things and apparently has a Moving Toward Integration and Acceptance plan in place for Purrly.

Anyway I will be finishing each blog with a few things I’d like to pass on to my fans . I know that sounds presumptuous to think I will have fans but my Mother Tiki told me I was destined for big things when she saw how I was able to wrestle with 3 of my Brothers and Sisters at once and then facilitate a group hug after wards when we all fell asleep in a purr-ball. I just learnt the word facilitate by the way.

Juno’s Purrfect Wisdom for today:

1. We will all have to leave home eventually and find our identity outside of the litter. Honour your parents for giving you life.

2. If you start a fight with your Brothers and Sisters, you are obliged to also be the one to call it to an end and facilitate the group hug.

3. Sometimes people praise you unnecessariy and other times no one notices the great things you have achieved.
Don’t get too caught up in either but make sure to remember your good manners no matter what people are saying.

4. Not everyone is going to like you or be friendly, no matter how much of a great guy or gal or cool cat you are…or are trying to be! That’s just how life is. Don’t take their behaviour personally, especially the really hostile and suspicious ones. You never know what has happened to them to make them so rude and insecure.
